About Maggie

I am passionate about joining with others in their life journey and walking alongside them as they pursue healing and growth. This passion has taken different forms over the years, from guiding wilderness adventure programs to leading equine-assisted programming for youth, before finding my way to the profession of counseling.

In my previous counseling experience, I have worked with clients in community mental health settings and with individuals living with traumatic brain injuries. I have additional training and experience working with individuals with Autism spectrum disorder.

My goal in therapy is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients are free to explore painful parts of their stories and uncover new strength within themselves. I am committed to supporting my clients through this process with an empathetic, warm presence and effective mental health practices.

I believe that while our world and relationships are affected by pain and suffering, there is a good and loving God who desires our healing and wholeness in the midst of this brokenness. I welcome people of all faiths and invite each client to decide how much (if at all) they wish to discuss faith and spirituality.

In my free time I enjoy anything outside, especially hiking, running, or biking. I also enjoy traveling somewhere new or escaping into the world of a good book

Areas of Practice

Using a blended approach that includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness techniques, I tailor counseling sessions to meet individuals’ unique goals and needs.
