Stephen Woods, LCMHCS, LCAS

About Stephen

I am passionate about serving others by integrating the best mental health practices and spiritual care for the soul. I am a Licensed Counselor Supervisor, Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor, and a Minister.

I provide services to individuals, couples, and families, both in person and through HIPPA-secure teletherapy.

I have worked in a wide range of services, including outpatient, community mental health, hospital based mental health and addiction services, crisis intervention, homeless shelters, among other settings.

In each setting, it has been a joy to see people from every walk of life make progress toward their goals and values improving their mental health and relationships along the way.

I have commitment to excellence and personal integrity to help you experience life as it was designed to be. I welcome people of all belief-systems or those who prefer not to express any religious practices. A non-judgmental, safe environment where hope and healing can begin is my desire to meet each client’s needs.

I look forward to connecting with you and assisting you with your therapeutic needs.

Areas of Practice

I work with ages 12 and up; individuals, couples, and families.

I have a broad range of specialties to address mental health concerns, life transitions, relationship issues, and career choices. My primary methods of therapy are ACT, Gottman Method, EMDR, and Experiential Learning Theory (ELT).

I work with ADHD, addiction issues such as alcohol, pathological gambling, pornography addiction, and substance addiction.

I also work with Post Traumatic Stress, Bipolar Disorder, Suicidality, and concerns related to sexuality and identity.

I am trained to integrate clinical counseling and theology: combining research-based psychology with a Christian perspective of human suffering, hope, and redemptive love.
